U7s and U8s enjoy successful blitz in Lisgoold

The u6’s, u7’s and u8’s  played in hurling blitzes last Saturday in Lisgoold with all teams competing strongly. Congratulations must go to our u7 hurlers on winning the u7 tournament, defeating Lisgoold and Whitechurch along the way. Lisgoold GAA yet again pulled out all the stops to organise a brilliant day for all teams, and presented the winning u7 and u 8 teams with a cup! Junior B Hurling League Final

East Cork JHL Div 3 Final Friday 9th October 8:15pm in Killeagh Carraig na bhFear v Cloyne Best of luck to our Junior B Hurlers who take on Cloyne in the East Cork JHL Div 3 final this Friday night in Killeagh. The team have had a great year in the league, only suffering two defeats to Aghada and final opponents Cloyne, having won promotion from Division 4 last year. We now contest our second league final in a row, with a young team which bodes well for the future. Carraig U10s enjoy great day at Rebel Og Monster Football Blitz in Mallow

Our U10 footballers took part in the last Rebel Og Monster Football blitz of the year in the fabulous Mallow club facilities on Saturday last, 3rd October. The lads had a great day out and received medals from Cork Senior Footballer Tomás Clancy of Fermoy, who was in attendance. The Monster blitz series is a great initiative and a huge logistical undertaking. Over 800 U10s and U8s attended the blitz in Mallow on Saturday alone, with similar events being held simultaneously in St. Vincents, Bishopstown, Clonakilty and other venues around the county. In total, over 2600 children took part and over 240 teams played 360 games. Well done to all involved and we look forward to seeing these stars of the future in action in the red and green of Carraig for many years to come. #HonCarraig...
