The Carraig na bhFear 5K Road Race returned with another huge crowd attending in perfect conditions on Wednesday 1st May. Thanks to all who participated and made it such an enjoyable evening. The club wishes to extend a special thanks to our event sponsors. Overall winner on the night was Mark Walsh of Leevale AC who stormed home in a fantastic time of 15:51. Fergus Nugent of Eagle AC followed in second place with a time of 16:47 while Barry Donovan of Cork Track Club was third man home with a time of 17:13.In the Ladies section, Linda O’Sullivan was the winner with a time of 20:15, Geraldine Hartnett came in second with a time of 21:43 and Allie Phillips of Carraig na bhFear AC was third with a time of 21:49. Congratulations to all the winners and participants! Many thanks to the large number of stewards who manned the course on the night, it was a great team effort to ensure that everything went off without a hitch.
