After their comprehensive win over Douglas on Tuesday night in Kerry Pike, Our Minor Hurlers are through to the final of the Rebel Óg East Minor A Hurling Championship this Saturday, 5th September in Ballygarvan at 6:45pm. Our opponents will be the formidable Courcey Rovers, who have recorded some impressive wins on their way to the final over Aghabullogue, St. Catherines and Watergrasshill.
Carraig have had good wins over Blackrock and Douglas to reach the final. Just over 12 months ago, we claimed the Rebel Og East B title and the bulk of that team remain. With a small squad to pick from, the performances of the team to date have been hugely encouraging, with Brendan Murphy, Oisin Crowley and Conor Hayes all leading from the front, while Paul Sheehan, David Sweeney,Michael Ahern and Gary Geaney have been consistent performers in defence and midfield.
Throw in for the match on Saturday in Ballygarvan is 6:45pm, so lets get along to support the lads in this big game for the team and club. Best of luck to Gavin, Brian and all the squad as they look to bring Minor honours back to the village for the second year in a row! We’re all behind ye lads!
