I hope you are all keeping well and gradually embracing Springtime as the evenings get longer and temperatures ( hopefully!!) start to rise. Here is a quick update as to what has been happening in the our club over the last four weeks: Juvenile Club: Our Juvenile Club held its monthly meeting on February 12th. The meeting was well attended and involved a lot of discussion around grading of our juvenile teams.  A central message to come from the meeting is that every team is important, every player is important and that it is through constant dialogue and a willingness to work together which underpins the club ethos for 2019. Our playing numbers are not huge and therefore, our club hopes that every member, parent and supporter will encourage each juvenile player and team to take part and be part of the club, in whatever form...

Registration night 2019

Carraig na bhFear GAA Club Registration Night Friday 8th Feb 7:00pm – 8:30pm Venue – Scoil an Athar Tadhg Registration Night 2019 takes place for all members on Friday next 8th February in Scoil an Athar Tadhg. Carraig na bhFear GAA Gear Sale 2018

Club Gear Sale Monday 29th October 5:30pm -7:30pm Carraig na bhFear Juvenile GAA Club are holding a Club Gear sale on Monday 29th October from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in the Parish Community Hall,front room. Please complete 1 order form per player. Payment must be made in full on the night. Plenty of sample sizes will be available to try on and we would advise to do so as gear designs and suppliers have changed since last year. Pictures of the new gear are on the order form. Orders will be taken on Monday night only to ensure delivery before Christmas and must be paid in full on the night. Please note that this will be the only gear sale for the winter. St. Patricks Day activities – Poc Ghearr, Poc Fada and Mrs. & Mrs!

It promises to be a busy St. Patricks Day in Carraig na bhFear, with a full day of activities on the schedule. It all starts with an Poc Gearr, St.Patricks day @10am from the College car park to the village. This is a Fun family event for all ages and in particular, the young hurlers who may not be old enough to take part in the longer equivalent later that morning. Refreshments in community centre afterwards. Then, it’s all off to Coole Cross for An poc fada at 11.30am. Teams of 3 €15 and all proceeds go to Marymount Hospice.   Also on St.Patricks night the Juvenile Club are holding a Mr.& Mrs Competition in the Arches Bar from 9pm.
