East Cork Junior A Hurling Championship 1st Round

East Cork Junior A Hurling Championship
Sat 20th June 3:00pm in Carrigtwohill
Carraig na bhFear v St. Ita’s

The summer is upon us and with it the first round of the East Cork Junior A Hurling Championship, the showpiece of the Imokilly division. After our disappointing exit at the semi final stage last year, we renew our battle to bring Jamesie Kelleher to Carraig for just the third time in history this Saturday. Our opponents are St. Ita’s, a small club who have had a meteoric rise in profile in recent years and who just lost out to the eventual champions, Castlemartyr, by a solitary point in last years quarter finals, so they’re credentials are not in doubt.

Carraig go into this game on the back of some improved recent league form after a few early defeats. Training has gone very well for the lads in recent weeks and no doubt the team will give it absolutely everything on Saturday as we look to get the championship off to the best possible start. Throw in time in Carrigtwohill is at 3pm.

We encourage all our members and supporters to come along on Saturday and give the team your full support.

For those of you who can’t make it, the match will be broadcast live on Community Radio Youghal via their website – http://www.cry104fm.com/?page_id=215
