All roads lead to Ballinacurra on Sunday next as our lads look to advance to a fourth East Cork decider since 2008. Our opponents on Sunday are well known to us, St. Ita’s having already beaten Carraig in the first round of this years championship back in June. Two second half goals proved to be the difference on the day, but Carraig have regrouped since that defeat, with wins over Russell Rovers, Lisgoold and Sarsfields all showing the character this team possesses.
St. Ita’s boast one of the top forwards in the country in Seamus Harnedy and he’s ably assisted by some excellent hurlers in the O’Briens and O’Loughlins. Carraig will have to produce their best performance of the season yet if we are to make it back to the final. Throw in time in Ballinacurra on Sunday is 2pm and we encourage all our supporters to come along and support the team from start to finish.
