Juvenile News Roundup 28th May

U8 Monster Hurling Blitz

Our two Under 8 hurling teams, put in excellent performances on Sat. Morning, May 21 st , at Inniscarra Grounds, where the Rebel Og Monster Hurling Blitz took place. Against formidable opposition from Blarney, Aghabullogue and Nemo Rangers, there were some outstanding passages of play, with real honest endeavour from the Carraig lads. The hard work they have been putting in on the training ground each Friday evening , is really paying dividends in terms of the improvement shown by these fine players today.

The U6 group continued their hurling and football training last Friday, and the weather failed to dampen their enthuasism. Their progression will be tested again this week as they are preparing to take on Whitechurch U6 hurlers next Saturday , in a rematch in Whitechurch. Word from the camp is that they are looking forward to the fixture!!

On Sat. Morning, May 21 st our U10’s played a challenge game at home to Watergrasshill. The excitement prior to this game was palpable. The team displayed some lovely hurling skills and determination throughout the game. All are looking forward to continued training and upcoming games.

Mon. May 23 rd saw this team play at home to St. Colmans in the hurling league. This game had the spectators enthralled throughout, as this turned out to be a very exciting and entertaining game. After a great performance, they were very unlucky to lose out to St. Colmans on a final scoreline of , St. Colmans 4-8, Carraig na bhFear 3-5. Well done to all involved.

Under 14’s advance in Hurling Championship.

Carraig na bhFear U14 team advanced to the Quarter Final of the Rebel Og U14B hurling championship after a victory over Castlelyons on May 18th. Carraig were in control from the start of this game and after an impressive team performance , ran out comfortable winners. Best of luck Lads!
